Hi, I’m Shea Frimmer. I’m a theatrical director focused on clear, craftful interpretations of text-based work: from classics, to musicals, to new play development. I make theatre that understands itself as a technology for change in humans. My work is hopeful, even when it is depressing, frustrating, and uncomfortable, because it is a tool to lead audiences “forward and through”.
My work, most of all, is deeply human. Its greatest success exists in the inexplicable magic of connection between human beings in a room together, whether a rehearsal room or an audience, and I want to create that magic with you.
